On September 30, the People’s Public Security University of China and the Renmin University of China signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Beijing, reaching a consensus on promoting the high-quality development of public security higher education. Both sides will carry out all-round strategic cooperation in innovating the collaborative mechanism for ideological and political education, building an independent knowledge system for cutting-edge disciplines, jointly establishing a platform for sharing teaching resources, and creating a joint hub for scientific research.

According to the agreement, the two universities will integrate their educational strengths and enhance resource sharing. Based on the Beijing Higher Education Precision Innovation Center for Ideological and Political Theory Courses, they will incorporate ideological and political resources with public security characteristics to jointly develop high-quality courses, advancing the integrated development of ideological and political education across universities, secondary, and primary schools. They will collaborate on constructing cutting-edge disciplines such as national security and “Artificial Intelligence + Public Security,” and release landmark achievements through the “University Alliance for Constructing China’s Independent Knowledge System.” Focusing on national security strategies and practical needs of public security, the institutions will jointly build specialized course systems and talent cultivation mechanisms, while strengthening two-way faculty exchanges and joint student training. Additionally, they will cooperate in planning high-level research projects, producing influential outcomes, jointly applying for national scientific research awards, organizing academic forums, and fostering collaborative innovation in research initiatives.

Moving forward, the two institutions will focus on the fundamental task of fostering virtue and nurturing talents. Building on their respective strengths and characteristics, they will collaborate in areas such as Party building and ideological-political work, talent cultivation, academic discipline development, and scientific research projects. They will work together to establish a talent development system that addresses the major needs of national security strategies, better educating students for the Party, cultivating talents for the country, and sharpening the sword for the police force. This collaboration aims to contribute to the comprehensive advancement of building a strong educational nation and promoting the construction of a safer China at a higher level.
