On the morning of April 2, 2024, Mr. Areepong Boodpha, Deputy Secretary-General of Thailand’s Narcotics Control Board, led a delegation to our university for an exchange visit. Liu Donghua, Member of the University CPC Committee and Vice President, met with Mr. Areepong and his delegation at Muxidi Campus. The meeting was attended by Mr. Ronarong Aiemapaitoon, Counsellor of the Royal Thai Embassy in China, Mr. Tong Liguo, Director of the International Cooperation Division of the Narcotics Control Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, and other relevant officials.
Both sides briefly reviewed the history of law enforcement cooperation between China and Thailand, acknowledging the solid foundation of collaboration between the two countries and recognizing the particularly notable achievements in key areas such as combating drug-related crimes. They extensively exchanged views on strengthening personnel training and academic exchanges, reaching preliminary consensus. Both parties expressed their commitment to fully learn from each other’s experiences in drug education and law enforcement, leverage their respective resources, and jointly deepen cooperation in combating drug crimes, youth drug prevention, and joint training of law enforcement personnel. The aim is to collectively advance policing work in both countries to a higher level.
During the exchange, the delegation also held professional discussions with representatives of faculty and students from the School of Criminal Investigation and visited the University History Museum. The event was attended by the directors of the University’s International Exchange Office and the School of Criminal Investigation.
