Police Culture Research Institute of People's Public Security University of China

Police Culture Research Institute of the People's Public Security University of China (hereinafter referred to as the Institute) was established with the approval of the university in November 2012. Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the Institute adheres to integrating the fundamental principles of Marxism with China's specific realities and its fine traditional culture. It maintains the orientation of advanced socialist culture, closely aligns with the practices and needs of police work and police culture development, and actively serves the fundamental mission of fostering core socialist values among people's police in the new era while comprehensively enhancing the cohesion and operational effectiveness of police forces. The Institute gives full play to the research strengths of police universities. It conducts systematic, scientific, and in-depth research on a series of key issues—including the theoretical system of police culture, the construction of institutional mechanisms, overall planning, pathways and strategies, the development of police unit culture, police culture publicity, and the creation and critique of police-related literature and art. It explores the developmental patterns and frontier issues of police culture in the new era, refines new experiences and models in police culture development, produces valuable and innovative research outcomes, and aims to build a high-level theoretical platform and leading hub for police culture studies. The Institute also organizes exchanges and seminars on various aspects of police culture research, guiding sustainable development in this field nationwide among police agencies and police universities.
