Journal of Public Security Science is published under the auspices of Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China, sponsored by the People's Public Security University of China and published by it Press. Launched in April 2018 as a bimonthly publication, it serves as a core platform for academic research within the first-level discipline of policing studies in China. In 2024, the journal was included in the CSSCI Expanded Journal List, selected for the AMI New Journal Repository, and recognized as a “Key Source Journal for Reprints” by Renmin University of China. It reports a composite impact factor of 2.24 and a comprehensive impact factor of 1.44 (China Academic Journal Impact Factor Annual Report, Social Sciences, 2024), and was designated a “Young Scholar-Friendly Journal” in December 2024.
